Department of Mechanical Engineering was started in the year 2002 with a sanctioned intake of 60 students.The main objective of our department is to produce competent Engineers, ready for both the Industry needs and the community by giving a broad exposure in all the areas in Mechanical Engineering and mold them to be technically competitive with others for the race of quality employment.We take special efforts to provide practical exposure to the students through industrial training in our industries.
We adopt new teaching learning methods like Powerpoint Presentations,Seminars,Industrial visits etc.,The department is functioning with well equipped laboratories and well experienced Faculty members to improve and enhance the knowledge of the student community and also to develop leadership and entrepreneurship qualities.The students are helped to establish linkage with industries and respond to everchanging technological needs.
The department conducts workshops,seminars periodically to help students and share a common platform thereby strengthen the industry institution interaction.
